About the owner

Hello! My name is Madison. I was raised in a small, rural community outside of Monroeville, Al- the type of place where forests dominate the landscape, everyone knows everyone else, and you don't get your milk from "a" store, you get it from "the" store.  My father was a well respected home builder within the area, and as a young child I would spend my summers on job sites with him, sweeping up messes for a little spending money and picking up a few tricks of the trade along the way.

As I began to grow older, my responsibilities on site slowly began to grow as well.  I have a distinct memory of the first time I used a circular saw- I was still relatively young, and dad was pretty reluctant to let me use such a dangerous tool, but with enough begging and pleading on my part, he finally relented.  That night, he took me aside and told me how proud he was of me for being so eager to learn, and that if I continued honing these skills that there would always be a job for me almost anywhere I would ever want to go.

After graduating high school, I went to work full time for my father. For the next nine years, we worked side by side, ultimately building ten houses and a church together; on site getting our hands dirty every day from the time we broke ground until all the finishing touches were just right.  This gave me experience in virtually all phases of residential construction, a strict attention to detail, and the accountability that can only come from working for clients you've known your whole life.

In 2018, I moved to Birmingham on my 27th birthday, and have been serving the Birmingham market ever since.  These days, I like to work on a much smaller scale.  I've paid my dues in new construction doing framing and roofing in the middle of the blazing Alabama summertime, and I'm more than happy to let the big builders in the area handle those services.  Instead,  I like to focus on all of the odd and end jobs that naturally present themselves over the course of homeownership.  This allows me to form more personal relationships with my clients, and provide a quality of service that not only they can be proud of, but that I can be proud of as well.
